In recent years there has been a fundamental shift in many ministries to equipping lay leaders to be more involved in the ministry and outreach of the church.
I recently attended a conference whose focus was to train pastors in the effective training of their members to do just that. One of the speakers was Rev. Phillip Jensen, Dean of Sydney and Senior Minister at the St. Andrews Cathedral in Sydney, Australia. He is also the Director of Ministry Training and Development for the Sydney Diocese.
