Conversation: Spoken Word as Ministry with Micah Bournes

In the 1980s and 1990’s an art form emerged out of the Hip-Hop and Rap subcultures known as “Spoken Word”–poetry that tended to be critical in nature regarding social concerns or inequities. Since that time, it has become a popular form of expression for more than protest, but continues to be provocative in its focus.

I recently had the opportunity to sit down with Micah Bournes, a spoken word artist and Senior at the Moody Bible Institute, who uses it as a medium to share the gospel.
