Last Friday, the California Court of Appeals ruled that state statues permitted home schooling as a category of private school education.  This reversed an earlier opinion that had mandated all homeschooling in the state of CA to be done only by licensed teachers.  This feature looks at the early history of the movement and how legal battles like the recent one in CA have shaped it.  Chris Kilcka from the Home School Legal Defense Association is the featured guest.
