According to Space.com, there are 10,000 man-made objects orbiting the earth.  It was 51 years ago this weekend that Sputnik, the first satellite, was launched into orbit by Russia.  This feature is a conversation with Dr. Henry Richter, an engineer who lived through the “Space Race.”  The feature also includes Dr. Jason Lisle of Answers in Genesis.

In 2006, Dr. Richter published a book on the cosmos entitled: The Universe: A Surprising Cosmological Accident (Xulon Press).
