When society considers “personal responsibility” or our obligations to certain moral standards, it is often framed as “listening to our conscience”—suggesting that we have the power to do what is right (or wrong) and it comes from somewhere within us. What is the conscience?

Also, as believers we have the Word of God and the Holy Spirit to direct our decisions and actions…so what is the relationship between our conscience and how God directs us as Christians? Dr. R.C. Sproul Jr, founder, teacher and chairman of the Highland Study Center in Virginia, along with blogger Steve Walden help us think about this issue.
